I've named mine except for my current one. None of the names have felt right. I have to fix a major problem with the soft top cover deck, so that may inspire me.

It's frustrating because it's a great car and it's fun to drive. Maybe we just haven't bonded fully yet.

It's in the article headline:

Filipino sailors dock in Mexico … and help invent tequila?

It's an interesting article that identifies potential ways that tequila distillation came to be and that some of the strongest evidence supports the idea of Filipino sailors on Spanish ships introducing the specific equipment and techniques.

There's also other theories so it's a foregone conclusion.

Good article. Bad headline.

You are defending Tesla and being disingenuous about it.

The other car companies working on this are spending millions of dollars to test their vehicles in closed areas that simulate real world conditions in order to not kill people.

You sound like a psychopath.

Texas and Florida will make a bunch of noise before implementing it. However, I believe Utah may do it before them.

They'll just pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Sending thots and players.

In my opinion, adding the date is a good thing. It helps provide context.

Many Lemmings do appreciate context and nuance.

In a way, your comment has provided a service for those users by helping to draw out the bottom feeders.

Superman was a great time. Very positive vibes though there's some dark moments. It felt like a successor to the first two Christopher Reeve movies.

Fantastic Four was also a great time. It really felt like they were a family. Saw it twice last weekend.

Thunderbolts was also very good. I enjoyed seeing the characters come together, similar to the first Avengers movie.

All three are worth the time. Doesn't matter which order you watch them.

If you haven't seen it, Sinners was also very good. I know it doesn't fit the superhero/comic book theme, but it was so good.

I mean, I think most people would tune out after listening to him for more than a couple of minutes.

Very on brand for Arkansas and white supremacists in general.

What a dumb ass.

Probably but getting the battlefield experience is what they're really after.

Katy Perry, the astronaut?

My PS5 is a little over two years old and I've maintained it well but over the past couple of months it has started overheating.

I've cleaned it out thoroughly and it's shutting off after less than 10 minutes of playing. I don't always get the error message either.

When I start it up some time later (days later), I'll get a split screen that shows the right half of the screen twice. Once it repairs the console and USB external storage and reboots, the screen is fine.

Nothing around the PS5 has changed. If anything, I've given it more space and airflow. The fan seems to be working fine as well.

I renamed one of my partitions and now Mint won't boot up. I go into recovery mode, run a file check and get the following:

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA!

EDIT: Thank you for all the comments and suggestions! I'm sorry I can't reply to everything but I have a list now of hardware to look at. I appreciate that everyone has been so helpful! I'll post an update once I buy one and get it going.

I've been running a Plex server for music off my gaming laptop for a few months and (I think) I'm ready to take it further - that is, I'd like to have the server running on its own hardware.

At this point, I'd just be running a music server, but I know I'll want to add more services.

The first would be something like Google Drive - I'm working with a couple of other people on business plans and I'd love to self-host our files and the software (like LibreOffice) to edit them.

I'm comfortable with the software side and I'm finding lots of options, especially in this community.

The hardware side... I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all the options and I don't know enough to judge the search results.

Any recommendations for hardware or links to guides would be appreciated.

I really struggle to make friends and being an adult trying to make friends is even worse than when I was a kid in school.

It appeared that I had made a friend but they turned out to be kinda toxic. I made mistakes too but I never tried to hurt them or manipulate them. They've made me feel like they're embarrassed to know me. Like our friendship had to be a secret.

Now, I finally managed piss them off that they don't want to talk to me anymore. Part of me is glad but part of me feels lonely. Very lonely.

I've been in a long distance relationship for quite some time now and we are waiting for her to finish school next spring before we move in together. It's difficult for me to think that's really going to happen. She reassures me often that it will.

I should be happy with that but nothing beats seeing a friend face-to-face regularly and talking to each other.

I feel sad and lonely and selfish. I don't want to hurt myself but I do kinda wish I was dead.

Is there a way to download or otherwise use Brainscape flashcards without paying (imo) high subscription prices for their "brain science"?

I'm going to see what I can do on my own but I'm low skill so any help would be appreciated.

TIA!

I bought a Grom about 3 months ago - my first bike.

I love it, except for the mirrors. I drive a lot on one lane roads and not being able to get a quick glance before turning my head is driving me nuts.

I'm guessing bar end would be best but trying to find good reviews (that is, not LLM BS or not so subtle marketing disguised as blogs, etc) has been challenging.

I would love to hear what y'all have to say.

I bought a pair of hypoallergenic pillows a couple of weeks ago and immediately started having a reaction to them. I washed them and no change.

I looked at what they're made from and I think it might be the Lyocell Tencel in the cover - made from eucalyptus trees.

Everything else about them is the same - afaik - as my other pillows.

Anyone else experience this or know anything about it?

I've been lurking here for a while, trying to learn and set up my own stuff. I'm starting off with music. I have a few thousand files in different formats and plenty of duplicates.

I already have an Emby server set up and it works very well.

However, is there a music manager that will help me find and eliminate duplicates?

I'm using Linux Mint and I'm still figuring out how to set up the various users and groups so that the software can access where my music is stored.

I'm thinking Lidarr but - as mentioned - something about setting up users and a media group and doing the permissions is not clicking.

For Emby to work, I've made the music directory a shared location and opened guest access.

Any pointers to step by step guides on any of this would be very helpful as well.
