Yes...but if you're making it yourself you can add things you like. Bloody Marys at some bars are almost a meal with cheese, meat, hot sauce, etc. in them (skewered, not hiding in the drink).

A virgin bloody mary.

Many mixed drinks can be made without the alcohol.

I am glad this perspective is being presented. I think ftm people have a unique view of how difficult it can be to be a man that throws light on a lot of men's issues.

I hope this person can present more along these lines. I think I could come up with hundreds of questions.

Yeah, divorce was similar for me. I was discussing and considering collaborative divorce with my lawyer until I was served the restraining order...which I got dismissed. That started about 2 years of legal theater propelled by stupid amounts of money.

You do find out just how selfish your family is when you go through a divorce, don't you? And how little they really care about you.

At a certain point I went "Bush" on family/friends: If you're not for me then you're against me. I still think it brought me back to some sort of sanity in dealing with people. And taking the trash people out of my life.

I am very low contract with my mother and sister because they kept my ex as a friend after all her bullshit through the divorce. I put on a show for my son to have sort of normal family times at holidays, etc. but I mostly do not connect with them outside of time with my son. We are NOT friends.

So, internet stranger. I understand the crazy bullshit that comes with divorce for a man.

And it is amazing how quickly and thoroughly men are discarded after a divorce. Disposable indeed.

I thought I recognized that name: Cult of the Dead Cow. They created Back Orifice which was a great parody of MS's Back Office.

(Learning how to do url links here...sorry if that doesn't work)

Interesting, especially running a federated system on top of the new protocol.

Yeah. This struck me as depraved and insane that an employee could not leave work for more than 2 hours for medical reasons. How completely bozotic.

I think this is a great question, but I would ask it a little differently.

Is it possible for a p2p system to self police for things like cp?

Maybe no one knows how now. But maybe someone can figure it out eventually. Seems like a bit of a logical contradiction but I continue to be amazed at human creativity.

I read an article a while back that argued the only way to really make housing affordable is to build MASSIVE amounts of housing.

Supply and demand is at least part of the problem.

My commute was, at best, 30 minutes each way driving myself. Public transportation would easily double that time and could easily be even worse.

Compensate me for that time at my full rate of pay or higher plus IRS mileage and I will START thinking about it.

My work environment also matters. Open floor plans suck ass and kill productivity. Pony up the money and give everyone offices with doors that close. My productivity at home is much higher because I am not sitting on a busy aisle across from a noisy meeting room.

I do miss being around people, I feel more isolated doing wfh. But the tradeoffs are pretty dismal against going back to the office.
