I feel like people who say things like this forget that NASA's main space centers are in Florida, Alabama and Texas.

I'm imaginining some kind of monstrosity of a gaming laptop with a power cable that looks like a hydra splitting into three or four USB-C connectors, and it's gloriously silly.

Maybe it's time for a new thing similar to USB 3.0 micro B, with two USB-C connectors next to each other on the same plug.

It's always projection.

Do you want demigods? 'Cause that's how you get demigods.

The real joke is not just simply giving folks a damn text box!

(Edit: I'm curious why I'm being downvoted for pointing out bad UI. In general, something doesn't have a short, fixed set of choices, it's inappropriate to use a drop down list for it. Simple as that.)

I can forgive the JavaScript think taking into account the specification was made in 3 days and that the suits made “looking like Java” a requirement.

Given that the backup plan was to embed Scheme or Python, it would've been better for Eich to fail.

Despite popular misconception, growth is logistic, not exponential. Nevertheless, Lemmy is so close to the beginning of its growth cycle that it should look exponential for a long time yet.

Actually, I was thinking of personal experience riding with my wife, with me on an ebike and her on an acoustic bike. I was surprised at how I actually needed to put in a little effort to keep up with her downhill.
