I found her personality on the show very unnatural. It was clear to me that she was doing and saying what she was told to, and everything was heavily scripted. She is not a fantastic actress. I couldn't watch more than a couple of episodes.

I'm pleased she is going back on tour, because that is where her particular wit and delivery really shine.

Two economists are walking in a forest, when they come across a large pile of shit.

The first economist says to the other “I’ll pay you $100 to eat that pile of shit.” The second economist takes the $100 and eats the pile of shit.

They continue walking until they come across a second pile of shit. The second economist turns to the first and says “I’ll pay you $100 to eat that pile of shit.” The first economist takes the $100 and eats a pile of shit.

Walking a little more, the first economist looks at the second and says, "You know, I gave you $100 to eat shit, then you gave me back the same $100 to eat shit. I can't help but feel like we both just ate shit for nothing."

"That's not true", responded the second economist. "We increased the forest's GDP by $200!"

In 1996 I got a copy of Yggdrasil Linux as a CD in the back of a large book, about 1,000 pages. I believe that it was simply a printout of all the man pages, although it might have had instructions on installing and basic Linux usage.

Well, Belize is actually in North America (Central America and the Caribbean are considered to be part of the North American continent). There is an English-speaking country in South America as well: Guyana, which used to be known as British Guyana.

Until 1973, Belize was called British Honduras, that makes it less surprising.

That reminds me of the woman who declared that she couldn't vote for Barack Obama because he was a Muslim and an atheist.

Conversely, Japanese people learn to tell the difference between an "o" vowel held for shorter or longer periods, a skill that I find incredibly difficult even though I lived in Japan for 7 years.

Rome was sacked repeatedly by foreign barbarians. Given the geography, I figure that is either going to be Canada or Mexico.

I recently traveled through Europe, the Middle East and Australia. In the bottom of my carry-on bag I forgot about a 1 l plastic water bottle that was about 3/4 full. None of the security scans in Australia, Malaysia, Doha, or Montreal said anything about it. For the first two airports, I also had two 500 mL water bottles in side pockets. Again, no issues.

So are you thinking what I'm thinking? Jewish space lasers?

I found the plot of both movies rather trite, but the characters (and actors) were superb!
