I'm suggesting this is cult-like behavior, yes. People (especially communists) criticize various Marxist thinkers as well as the positions of communist parties all the time. Of course I don't every criticism is invalid. As far as I can tell, they're barely even doing any criticizing in the linked thread, they're just going "tankie warning!!! do not hang out with these people!!!".

Ach Gott der Kanal benutzt tatsächlich unironisch die drei Pfeile als Symbol und Name. Einer der Pfeile steht für Antikommunismus. Das ist quasi 1930er enlightened centrism, das Symbol. Dass ist hier besonders absurd für einen Antifaschisten, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Antifaschistische Aktion damals von der KPD ins Leben gerufen wurde, um speziell die Nazis zu bekämpfen (und nicht wie vorher sowohl Nazis als auch SPD).
Wenn ihr mal die Scheiße in Großbritannien ein bisschen verfolgt habt (sucht nach Shaun of YouTube), dann kann man vielleicht erahnen, wie das noch eskalieren wird bei uns. Ist hier schon schlimm genug, fliegt aber noch ein bisschen unter dem Radar momentan. Vielleicht verlaufen die Fronten bei uns dann ein bisschen anders, aber im UK ist ein ganzer Haufen von vorher eher linksliberalen Medienfuzzis zu Transfeinden mutiert (nicht nur J.K. Rowling), und die Labor-Partei ist soweit gespalten und unter Druck, dass sich fast keiner traut irgendwas zur Verteidigung von Transpersonen zu sagen. Die BBC oder der Guardian plattformen schonmal die Hater, währenddessen preschen sämtliche rechte und konservative Medien und Politiker mit voller Wucht in den neu entstandenen Riss bei den Linksliberalen und Linken und machen Hetze. Die TERF-Fraktion hängt inzwischen mehr oder weniger offen mit Faschos ab, Gewalt auf der Straße eskaliert, transfeindliche Gesetzesvorhaben werden geplant.
