This doesn't make sense. People are going to forget about this incident in a couple of days, and nothing will change. Why would Russia sacrifice their plane for a couple of days of bad PR for Ukraine?

Someone fucked up and did not tell the air defense crew to hold their fire, most likely. Ukraine says it was the Russians that forgot to tell them. Maybe? You'd think the details of this prisoner exchange would have been hashed out days before in detail, so I'm thinking it more likely someone on Ukraine's side forgot hand down this info to the AD crew. But who knows, it's gonna be he said, she said.

The fact that Ukraine is already is floating conspiracy theories makes me think they're full of shit.

It's exactly what I thought it would be: they don't want to die.

They're sending new conscripts directly to the front with no or almost no training. That's a death sentence. No sane person would want to go there.

Every retelling of this story I have ever seen or read says that the stationing of nuclear missiles on Cuba was a response to nuclear missiles deployed to Turkey. Presumably this is what mainstream historians believe. Are you disagreeing with this?

Russian sanctions boomerang effect means a year of stagnation for Europe in 2024

The boomerang effect of the Russian sanctions on the EU member states is having a mixed impact. Germany, France and Italy are worst affected as the pain from the changes in energy and input supplies impact their economies, dragging them down into recession, while the less dependent on Russia like Spain and Portugal are already showing signs of recovery, according to ING analysis.

Overall Europe is headed for a year of stagnation that could be worse than in 2023. By contrast Russia reported growth of 3.5%, according to the preliminary results. And on January 18, an ebullient Russian President Vladimir Putin said that growth could come in at over 4% after revisions. The Russian Ministry of Finance (MinFin) also revised its GDP growth outlook for 2024 up to 3.5%, much improved from the earlier Central Bank of Russia (CBR) forecasts of around 2% for this year.

Currently, sanctions seem to be doing more harm to Europe than they are to Russia.

(Scholz will „endlich im großen Stil abschieben“)

HAHA, NEIN!

Rechtsruck here we go!

Nobody was arrested for protesting against Israel or genocide in Germany. That’s a blatant lie.

You are spreading blatant lies.

https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/germany-palestine-protest/

The German state’s show of support has led to an outright banning of most pro-Palestine protests.

On October 13, Berlin police declared uttering the slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” forbidden and indictable.

minors arrested for wearing the colors of the Palestinian flag, a woman of Jewish-Israeli descent detained for carrying an anti-war message in Herrmannplatz, a central square in Neukölln.
