Yup. There's no such thing as a good billionaire. We could probably drop it down to a hundred millionaire too
I think we can come to the common ground that there is a lot of stuff that the governments around the world and specifically the US government spend money on that it shouldn't. A lot of our collective military spending is based on fear for example.
I'm not fully in your camp for destroying taxes but I do think that we could probably find some things that we both agree on pretty quickly
That's an oversimplification. Taxes are supposed to go for things that benefit everyone like roads for sure; but the vast majority goes to things that we generally think of as good but don't generally need. Things like healthcare paid for by healthy people and military defense paid for by people who have never been shot at.
So while it is true to say nothing gets back to me, I am still relieved because if I was breaking even on my taxes that would mean I have some sort of life altering problem.
My initial response to you got upvoted, which means the general public thinks my explanation was better than your interpretation.
Now that obviously isn't proof, but it is a thought that maybe you should reconsider.
How could you disagree with the analogy when you fundamentally don't understand it. You think it means something completely different than what the poster meant it to say
Nobody is saying what you are disagreeing with. We're all on the same side here and agree with the same stuff just saying it differently and you can't understand that for some reason. You're flipping out for no reason and I'm trying to explain that but it seems to be only making it worse for you somehow
The British plug serves the same point as an inset because there's a bit of non-conductive material on the plug itself that goes into the wall. If it's not fully inserted then the only thing showing is the non-conductive material.
It also has the thickest metal on the plug as far as I know. It's probably the only thing that the British have ever engineered better than the Germans.
Cash in this analogy is representing a different target for evil people. Cash itself is not analogous to women, but evil people don't think of them as women. They think of women as targets.
What the parent comment is trying to say is not a comparison between women and money. It's saying that evil people will do more evil deeds if it's easier for them to be evil. Your condemnation of their analogy is not only misplaced but is also harmful to the overall discussion.
It even has the red grass to hide in.
Verizon sends me a letter every time I pirate something newer than a year old. Congratulating me I guess because they never do anything else.
