It's not as elementary information as you think it is. You really overestimate how on top of international politics the general populace of each individual country is. Knowing the name of Feijóo is way more relevant to a Spaniard than the name of a leftist UK party member or the other dude from Greece.

Yeah and the free market will regulate itself... Maybe most people will self regulate but most people don't get into accidents, you only need a minority to be assholes for a crash to happen.
