Someone please remind me what the point of all this is again?

But then you'd have a bunch of trump supporters 😐

This is also why Republicans are adamant about destroying our educational system. A sucker born every minute isn't enough to please the shareholders these days

We apparently have all kinds of money to dump into domestic terrorism but we ain't got shit when it comes to healthcare, education, climate action, infrastructure, emergency planning/prevention...

The next line in the article sums up the situation though:

"Then he was shot at with pepper spray, tear gas, stun grenades and bullets shot at his feet [and then] in the air, and he runs away scared, and the IDF [Israeli army] were shooting at the crowd.

Funny thing is, once upon a time i would have simply assumed that to be the case. Boy was i naive!

It's so cool to see this pop up here--i went there with my wife several years ago and we were absolutely stunned by it's magnificence and sheer scale. I plan on going back someday and spending an entire day there knowing what we're in store for. I had been given a recommendation to check it out by a local who ran a log cabin lodge that was about 1/2 hour or so from the House. That place really blew me away, glad to know other folks are out there appreciating it too!

That carousel was insane, not to mention the amount of animated instruments and nickelodeons scattered about... The living quarters were so cool, if a little impractical. You could have the coolest parties ever in that place...

What's in a name?

Apparently a whole lot

We're at the point that any name recognition is worth serious coin

Invest in sharpies!

I got some great responses last time i posted here looking for help finding a PC for my home. Now I've got a friend that's come to me looking for help selecting and setting up a PC for music recording with the app Reaper. I'd be installing Linux Mint and the machine would be used primarily for music recording, no other major applications. It doesn't sound like it would require a real powerhouse, so we're hoping to keep the costs down if possible. Form factor doesn't really matter in this case, we really just want something simple and reliable.

Last time i inquired here, the consensus was that I'll probably be best taking my specs/needs to the nearest Microcenter and see what they recommend. Does it sound like i should do the same in this case?

Thanks for reading! I appreciate any help you all can provide!

I've been listening to vaporwave for almost 10 years now, and in the past few of them i have started finding/seeking out mixes to broaden my range and find new stuff to enjoy. There's probably like 12 i could point to that all are solid gold in my books, but i want to narrow down to the best of the best (if such a thing really exists, what i love about the genre is that it's all over the place and there's something for every individual taste)... Anyway I'll post 3 that i really really enjoy to get things started. I would L O V E to hear what y'all are enjoying. Here are 3 mixes i can very very highly recommend:

Just amazing, this was the mix that set my vaporwave world on fire, i would strongly recommend checking out the entire p l a z a suite by S o u n d S t a t i o n on YouTube--it's arguably the best collection around, imo.

Next I'll recommend one of the hottest, upbeat mixes that had the prestige of being the "most played track" according to my music app (i like to download these mixes and make a super-mix to default to, lol)... Employee of the Month by Sega64. Absolute bangers throughout, truly a top-tier mix imo.

More recently i discovered a channel where they were posting fresh mixes weekly for a hot minute, though they have pulled back on the frequency of their submissions. Tons of good stuff among their collection of videos, hours and hours of curated goodness. It was hard to pick just 1 to be the one i recommend, each mix goes so many places! Either way, here's a great place to start:

Please share your favorites! I'm all ears!! A tip of the hat to fellow vw listeners 🎩

I'm looking to build a reliable, basic, no-frills computer primarily for Internet browsing and watching movies. Not sure if it matters, but it would be running Linux Mint. I may also look to do some amount of photo and/or video editing on it at some point too, but i don't have any real needs for gaming with it. There's a million choices when it comes down to the mobo and cpu and all the rest of it, though i think i know which case i want to get so i think that may help narrow my options. (Fwiw, it's a Fractal Designs North model case I'm considering)

Any advice, please?

Edit: thank you all so much for your responses, I'm really glad i posted here! I have a much better sense of which way to go now. I really appreciate the time y'all took to help me out. 😄
