This would be true if we lived in a world where salary increases matched inflation. I make ~5% more on paper than I made a couple years ago, yet we had terrible inflation in the eurozone, my salary was effectively cut.

Anti-imperialist pro-Palestine protestors are Trump voters, hexbear users are Trump supporters, Russia and China support Trump. The line between conspiracy theorist libs and MAGAcommunists is a thin one.

Today is Rome's birthday. Kinda wild how until ~70 years ago the entirety of the city of Rome was still inside it's imperial walls, this was the "appio latino" district (just outside the Aurelian walls) a century ago and the same district now:

The "square of the kings of Rome" in the 1920s vs now, it is just outside the walls, yet it was suburbia at the time.

The fact that a worker who barely makes ends meet pays 10-20 times the taxes Amazon pays is... Fascinating in a dark way.

Similar to feudal peasants that used to pay up in the form of free labor and produce, while their noble overlords enjoyed massive privileges and zero taxes.
