I know it's a joke, but the idea that NAT has any business existing makes me angry. It's a hack that causes real headaches for network admins and protocol design. The effects are mostly hidden from end users because those two groups have twisted things in knots to make sure end users don't notice too much. The Internet is more centralized and controlled because of it.

No, it is not a security feature. That's a laughable claim that shows you shouldn't be allowed near a firewall.

Fortunately, Google reports that IPv6 adoption is close to cracking 50%.

That may be changing. Not clear yet.

That's how the original was written, too. Actually, I'd say the show is an improvement in the characters.

It reminds me a lot of golden age science fiction. Fantastic, imaginative story. Characters that are complete cardboard. The third book is basically "women can't make the hard, necessary decisions that men can" so that's going to be fun to see how the show does it.

The arguments are, at best, a reason not to have Rust as the primary language in the kernel. Implementing new hardware drivers or platforms is still viable even if you accept everything here.

Maybe not with the same type of cables. While they're common in datacenters, not all cables have boots like that.
