There's nothing as permanent as a temporary fix

This made me wonder... What "silence" are we talking about here? "Not talking" or "no noise"?

The key to feeling refreshed is keeping them extremely short (think about 15 minutes tops), you need to wake up before hitting deep sleep or you have to wait for your next REM cycle to be over. It's admittedly pretty problematic when you have trouble falling asleep. My wife has this problem too, and she's a light sleeper on top, so naps don't work well for her. If I lay down for sleep, it happens in a matter of minutes, so a 15-20 minute power nap is easy and very efficient.

I nap whenever I both want to do it, and can do it. Since the first child, I gained newfound appreciation for sleep time. These last couple of weeks I've been taking a quick nap in-between dropping the youngest at daycare and starting my work day lol

Reality never decouples, it's just always relative but our usual point of views are similar enoug that we typically ignore the difference. Time will fly slightly faster for an astronaut on the ISS, but we're talking nanosecond differences over long periods.

From your POV, you fall into the black hole and that's it. From an external observer's POV, they see you falling slower and slower until you appear to stop at the event horizon then redshift to disappearance. The EH is just the description of the boundary where gravity becomes great enough that nothing can escape it.

Either in this community really don't get the "unpopular" part, or there's more people than I thought who believe tipping to be a good practice...

Didn't the last Apple model with FW ship about that long ago? Last of their computers with said port I can think about is the 2012 Macbook.

Manslaughter is accidental homicide. Think less "crazy" and more "DUI".

I mean, I haven’t watched the video. Guy however appeared in the Pandora papers. The Canadian government has sanctioned him for “gross and systematic human rights violations in Haiti and engaged in acts that threaten the peace, security, and stability of Haiti”. A quick search of his company (GB Group) seems to point to quasi-monopolistic practices on many Haitian markets. His father was sanctioned by the US as well in 91 around Aristide’s coup d’état. He is today Haiti’s one and only billionaire. He is also indeed a Zionist, even is honorary consul for Israel. What’s antisemitic about pointing any of that out?

My 7yo son definitely would have no idea about physical formats if he didn’t see my N64 cartridges sitting alongside the Switch lol. I had to explain to him that we had to buy or rent movies and games if we wanted them. Blew his mind.

Man, I’d settle for something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for a shit box with terrible range half the year when it goes under freezing temps…

Honestly, it’s just another shell. Both Bash and ZSH happen to be mostly POSIX compliant, so stuff that works for Bash tends to work with ZSH too. For me it’s mostly just about the stuff I can add to it - I use the antidote plugin manager to get additional autocomplete, syntax highlighting, suggestions, async prompt updates, that kind of thing.
