IMHO it’s even worse with ADHD, just less immediate. There are songs and artists that were major favorites of mine at one point, that I just haven’t listened to in years cause I’m so fucking tired of them after listening to them 8h a day for 3 months straight. There also not a single job I didn’t get tired of after a year or two lol

Oh, I mean, power tripping moderators has always been a thing, even in my phpBB forum days when I was a teenager. I’m sure some of us older than I will have similar stories about it happening on certain BBSes. But the user base and therefore impact of that moderation going to shit was much more limited in most cases.

Isn’t Shopify Canadian? Did they/the CEO do something?

We haven’t used Amazon in a good month over here, and we don’t miss it even a little bit. We’re cancelling Prime and will turn to alternatives. Fuck these fascist bootlickers.

You managed to describe a feeling I’ve had for a while but never managed to articulate correctly. Thanks.

Yeah, indeed. On the other hand I’m also painfully aware that the reason it’s so cheap for me over there is that I’m the richer guy in a poorer country… 😬

I keep hearing this, but man was it not my experience. I may have just been unlucky, or maybe it was just our specific resort, but the food we ate on the resort was extremely disappointing. The best meal I ate whole week was a random lunch I ate in a disposable plate (the cochinita pibil was out of this world) before leaving Tulum. Meanwhile most food in Cuba was perfectly fine. On average not the best I ate in my life, but nothing terrible.

Faux-wood was just everywhere at the time indeed. It was a mix of the materials getting affordable and a certain commodification of the hippie aesthetic. Electronics were more perceived as appliances back then, and it was a common trend to make appliances less sterile by adding “natural” materials such as wood.

I thought Ctrl+Win+S was a shortcut that launched the Snipping Tool

Unless we discover one in our own solar system or our current understanding of physics is completely off-base, we just won’t reach one lol

Interesting… what happens exactly, if I may ask? Im on 60mg, personally the only side-effect I get is a more or less severe energy crash around dinner time (I feel like I have to go to bed right now for a good 30-60min), but it doesn’t mess with my sleep unless I take it too late in the day. 1PM seems to be the cutoff for fucking up my night.

I know some ADHD folks have sleep issues, but fortunately, I personally fall asleep very easily and am very difficult to wake up - especially since I got a CPAP to treat the severe sleep apnea. The problem is, I often go to bed way too late, either from having to work after the kids are in bed from procrastinating some task for too long, or literally forgetting what time it is and realizing what time it is 5h before I have to wake up.
