die vorzeitige Abschaltung betriebsbereiter AKWs war in Zeiten, in denen weiterhin Dörfer für die Kohle abgerissen werden, kompletter Wahnsinn.

Der Grund dafür war wohl eher die Angst vor Unfällen als der Umweltschutz. Für die Mehrheit der Deutschen jedenfalls. In der Konsequenz macht das aber keinen Unterschied.

From what we know about physics and chemistry so far, it looks like there is no magical way to reverse this, that wouldn't require a huge amount of energy, resources and effort. Also, it's a bit to late to put money into research now. We know what to to do and how to "fix" things but we don't like the consequences so we (mostly) keep going as if nothing is wrong.

I'm thinking about this every once in a while. What about using a custom domain and a relay service like FireFox Relay or Addy.io? That would give you the option to move your actual email around easily, even after you lose access to it.

The problem is that for fossil fuels, there is no good way to "completely remove" them. Most of the "carbon neutral" ads are plain greenwashing. But taxing it would be a good step nonetheless.

Die brauchen ja i.d.R. kein Auto. Der Vergleich macht in beide Richtungen nicht so viel Sinn.

Das bringt den Leuten außerhalb der Städte und deren Einzugsbereichen leider wenig. Ist aber trotzdem ein sportlicher Preis. Zum Glück gibt's Kleinwagen für weniger Geld.

He's got a point there actually. You definitely don't need poison in your body. By definition, that might kill you if there's enough of it.
