Eeeeew I feel like this really diminishes both ADHD and autism.

Especially since it's so damn difficult to actually get a diagnosis if you have it.

It's something to keep in mind if you have clumsy friends or in case you might get a clumsy boyfriend or girlfriend. Or in case you drink sometimes.

Hey did you know that if you live in the US you can take Weather 101 classes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration from home on your computer for free?

Tonight I was in the class for Severe Thunderstorms.

Me, too. I'm proud of you. You've come so far and you still have lots left.

God, the way my laugh echoed in this house.

I came to ask if we were witnessing the plank master at work. Glad I wasn't the only one.

I have problems with it.

For one, all the edges are scratchy. You run the risk of roughing your hands every time you reach in to get stuff.

For another, I (and my boyfriend, who I had the urge to spritz with a bottle of water when I saw this out of reflex) have ADHD, which is rough for proprioception. In other words, we aren't so great at judging the relationship in space between ourselves and furniture, and bang into it a lot. In other words, when we inevitably punch this cinderblock trying to reach in to grab something, or bang a hand down on it just trying to reach for a phone, we're going to skin our hands and that's blood we don't need on random surfaces.

Finally, as someone else pointed out, when we inevitably bang our feet on it, now we're lookin' at a broken toe.

(For the record, I told the boyfriend I saw this and almost spritzed him with water, and he laughed.)

In a pinch, flipping the pillow to the cool side and getting up to pee has been helpful for my ADHD ass.

I want everyone to know that on the 5th, a whole lot of the country was under like day 3 of severe storms. I expected no one to show up in Tennessee, especially in Nashville, with all the flooding and the flooded out streets. Apparently, there was still a turnout, and that's kind of a big deal.

Anyone who eats shrimp should absolutely read this.

I agree that the Reformation was a mistake, but this is a little tasteless under an article talking about a drowned child.

Luckily the NWS offices in Paducah and Nashville have been crushing it because we're in day 3 of severe weather.

Shout out to Paducah, who had to stop updating warnings and stuff on Thursday because they were in shelter while a tornado went over their office!
