Der Unterschied ist auch, wie ich hier bereits in einem anderen Thread gelesen habe: Bei Twitter folgt man direkt Personen. Wenn die nicht zu mastodon wechseln kann es unter Umständen für einen persönlich nicht funktionieren.

Bei Reddit interagiert man mit der Community und selten gezielt mit einzelnen Personen. Natürlich ist jetzt bei feddit die Community nicht exakt die gleiche und hat eine andere Größe aber für mich als User ist vollkommen egal, ob Nutzer:in XY schon zu lemmy gewechselt ist. Dadurch hat es meines Erachtens nicht die gleichen Probleme wie Mastodon

Okay, das ist natürlich ein Punkt. Aber im Zweifelsfall könnte ich ja ein weiteres Konto anlegen. Ich hab allerdings in meinen ~10 Jahren auf Reddit kein einziges sub erstellt also ist die Gefahr bei mir da wahrscheinlich nicht so groß.
