My book shelf is just Mushishi and a vast collection of space opera. Tinder dates have no power over me.

wasnt there some group of people that wanted to sue over 9/11 but the us gov't wouldnt let them because it would open the us up to being sued by all the people they bomb all over the place? This feels like the same sort of situation.

This is good for their application to let them do releases without safety checks

Boomers, Gen Xers and elder millennials are now the last people who remember what it was like to use a pay phone, a paper map, a typewriter, etc

idk elder millennials were children pre-internet, their experience isn't going to be the same as gen x or boomers who were adults by the time the internet became so ubiquitous. By the year 2000 there was ICQ and AOL Instant Messenger and texting and Unreal Tournament with online matchmaking. So maybe you werent playing Roblox on your iPad while waiting for your Pizza Hut but you could go home and frag some noobs after eating garlic sticks till you puke in the non-smoking section.

Even if they are right (and likewise I’m too ignorant on this to know) this comes across as concern trolling given the context. If they were making this criticism to the activists as another activist it could be a completely reasonable criticism but theyre making the comment in an r/neoliberal thread where theyre trying to make themselves feel better about being the beneficiaries of colonialism.

i dont really understand the revenue model here. i also dont understand how there's going to be enough computational power to do LLM shit for all windows users all the time? this sounds bad for the environment.

Guy with 10M subs makes a video? 25K views. Guy with 1.6k subs makes a video? 13M views
