the amazing thing is that they use this as evidence that tankies are extreme left because they are the farthest left (except whoops Communist is in the center)

a lot of the time technical or academic lectures are just recordings of a livestream or zoom call so I think based on that I go in with different expectations. I guess in my mind a lecture is different than "youtuber talking at you for money"

Anime fans have unironically contributed more to internet video technology than companies like netflix because they are highly technical, extremely obsessed and have a high bar for quality. x264 was anime fans, for example. I don't think AI subs will go over very well if they aren't any good.

why is crunchyroll paying for translators in the first place? isnt it the publishers that have to supply the subtitles?

This is just sad. Not only did the nerds apparently overrule her untethered coolness she comes out and says "no actually I'm not that cool why would you think that"?

And she's right why would we think that? We have no evidence she's ever been cool.

once your videos are longer than like 30 minutes you should consider being a streamer instead because you're clearly incapable of editing things down

The country's forced labor program reportedly began in the mid-2010s, and since then, "North Koreans have been sent to Russia, Poland, Qatar, Uruguay and Mali."

Well that's a fuckin lie because north koreans have been working in Russia for longer than that. There's a train nerd blog from like 2008 where he talks about meeting north korean workers on the train through Russia on the way to North Korea.

im sure the drinking isnt helping with your sleep. Does THC help with your sleep if you switch to that? Have like a 10mg edible before bed kinda thing.

If you're not physically dependent on alcohol maybe try non-alcoholic alternatives? That may hit the same habitual part of the brain without making you intoxicated to the point you're not able to sleep properly.
