What’s the story with Moon of Alabama? I occasionally see posts linked here and in naked capitalism. The posts themselves seem ok but there seem to be a lot of nazis in the comments.

one problem is cbp guards can unilaterally adjudicate visa status when the person is trying to enter the country. Other countries you get your visa and you basically have the right to be there, it doesn't work that way for the USA. I believe US visas basically just get you on the flight. So all kinds of bullshit can happen if you're not already in the country.
