I don't like the idea of conflating falsely accusing people of being a pedophile with calling someone out for holding harmful right-wing beliefs.
The first (saying someone is supporting pedophiles) is oftentimes used as a method to support bans on anti-encryption technology. It is a bad-faith justification for harmful and 1984 type legislation.
The second, however, is an argument used by right wing extremists to justify hate speech.
To be clear - I'm not saying the government should mandate a ban on conservative media. I'm just saying that as a normal citizen, it is a justified, non-harmful act to call people with harmful right-wing beliefs 'right wing extremists.'

In my opinion, Jerboa has the worst interface of all of the lemmy apps that are out, and should not be promoted to new users.

Yup. I had $5 of Google opinion rewards money saved, so it was only 15ish out of the bank account. I work full time... I think I'll be fine. Plus honestly, the dude worked hard creating a fantastic app. He deserves to be rewarded for that.

Basically I use mastodon as a feed for entertaining shit that I can easily interact with. I follow a bunch of artists and comedians. I scroll down and am entertained. If I want to be extra nice, I leave a comment and tell the artist they are super cool. People usually reply back, which is nice!
And because it is part of the fediverse, you can follow people from all kinds of apps! It's pretty cool :)
For sure, but if an entire city switches over to LED, that is a lot of electricity saved. Imagine the impact an entire country would have.
