Ignoring the whataboutism, I wouldn't use the US as an ideal alternative lol. Both China and the US have many areas in which they should improve. It's in only one of those countries that it is potentially dangerous to say that though.

I used to live in China.

Yes, there are people that like the government. However, most people are very aware they can't speak out against the government, and would if they could. Far more than 5%.

Based on my experience, the statistic of 95% feels highly flawed in some way.

Sounds like something a bot would say! Off with his head!

You should probably set up cloudflare or something for that.

Lol for real though, my ex had a seizure disorder. It sucked. There was a medication that they had her use for a bit, but it honestly made her so high for hours that taking the medication was worse than her seizures, so she stopped.

I like the buddhist idea that our consciousness is what governs our mind, and our mind governs the body. Through meditation, you can start to see from the perspective of your consciousness, and not just your mind.

Is that what you are talking about?

Is this some kind of copypasta? I'm all for accountability but this sounds... excessive and dramatic.

I filed a police report against them and got taken down by 2 dozen cops who shut down three square blocks to do so and ransacked my place

people with no priors used to be really powerful

And it’s going to look a lot like Nuremberg

You have to tell them if the drugs you are selling them are fake. It's the law.

Same. Speeding tickets are so fucking expensive where I live. Guaranteed to be at least $300 at a minimum. I can't afford that, so I barely go over to mitigate the effect of being the slowest driver on the road. In general though, idgaf.

I also drive a Prius, so it's at least somewhat expected ha

Does it block comments from the instance as well?

Yeah I made some honest efforts the other day. I don't think it can happen on a platform where you are surrounded by people that think the same way as you. There's too much going on. Too much pressure from the hivemind to question openly. It takes a one on one, in person conversation to really get people to question their beliefs.

Since that isn't going to happen here, quarantine to prevent the spread is the best way forward.

Deplatforming harmful ideologies is shown to create a reduction in hate speech and harm overall.

Because of this, I am pro-defederation of hexbear. They can have a voice, sure, but it's my choice if I want to listen
