That last paragraph is hellarious. "I'm just shocked that society isn't heeding my admonition" Is so much a supreme court justice with his head up his own ass. And to top it off his "admonition" is "please don't be mean to these people just because they want to be mean to other people".

I don't think these were legally binding posters. I'm not sure you'd get super far if even one person was drunk in court, unless they were literally blackout drunk and you had video evidence of it (or you were black of course).

There's no downside to just ignoring the supreme court if you want to. They e bitten off any teeth theyight have had.

I can't understand most of this incomprehensible rant, but this goes both ways. The law uses arcane rules to keep people in or keep people from seeking justice at all.

Often the arcane rules are really the only thing that helps people. For instance, in some states there are time limits on appealing a case, so even if you do find some you can't present it. The only option at that point may be to prove a mistrial in order to even present the new evidence.

You would think we have people involved to keep the whole thing empathetic and human, but... You'd be wrong, and maybe people are just fucking awful anyway.

In most cases though people don't try. The state throws so much red tape at them they just plead out to avoid the hassle. Out justice system is really designed for efficiency st this point and not for justice. We're too cheap to invest in actual justice.

Meh. I work in tech and a big part of my day is just communicating with non tech trying to make sure they understand. It's just part of having a job imo. We have an entire customer support department just to do it with customers.

We moved from America to see Asia years ago. We were just talking last week about how racist we still catch ourselves being. We have a sick relative at home who we talked about moving here. They'd be close to us so we could help. And healthcare here is cheap/free often and pretty good.

But there's part of me that just thinks American = superior. No matter how long I live here I'm not sure it will ever go away. It's been psychopathically programmed into me. "Yeah it's expensive, but at least you're getting a good doctor". (I've had awful and great doctors in both countries) It's infuriating to realize.

I get putting it here but it should probably just be in the normal search. Search is shit on every os in general. LLM could theoretically help it find actually relevant stuff (and filter out the kink it usually surfaces).

You can add it back in taskbar settings if you use it (and remove the copilot button if you hate it).
