I believe you’re referring to them standing up to the international rule of law that they partly helped create.
International rule of law that selectively applies to the countries these European states deem "terroristic". European countries facilitate and help the American state in every way, they are the beneficiaries of the capitalist system, yet people, especially liberals, act like somehow Europeans are some enlightened people.
