Yikes! didn’t know that! Really wish that there were youtube front ends with last.fm support, because i would switch from spotify in an INSTANT if there were. if invidious or piped just added the ability to scrobble i would cancel my spotify right now
what i want to do is host a second wifi network that leeches off a target wifi and just redistributes the connection, but with a vpn inbetween it ( mullvad or nord or vyprvpn ). Can a standard laptop do that for me ? this would not be for accessing stuff remotely, i have tailscale and / or chrome remote desktop for that, this for using a vpn on devices that don’t have the ability to get a vpn app on.

Lemmy has a very foss focused privacy focused community and this is a bot which responds to YouTube links ( not privacy respecting ) with piped links ( privacy respecting ) so the people who don't want to open YouTube due to said privacy concerns do not have to open YouTube. Similar to the reddit bots that would respond to amp links with the actual link.
