In the early days, Super Nintendo Emulation was inaccurate and required a fast Pentium II PC to run at full speeds with sound, but in 1997 everything changed with the released on ZSNES, a blazingly fast SNES emulator written entirely in x86 assembly language that ran even on a 486 PC with playable speeds. While other emulators existed, ZSNES brought emulation to the masses with its UI and features.

I was also confused when I first read the synopsis. But I have not played the game so it's hard to say. I also not from the USA and there was not really crash here so I don't know how it was there. But I think you are not supposed no think about it too deeply. The video game crash is something talked about a lot by gaming youtubers, so I think most people have heard of it now even if they were not alive at the time of lived in the USA.

So I guess it is just a plot device that they used, to tell an alternative reality for arcade games history. Though I could be wrong.

Arcade Spirits is a romantic visual novel that follows an alternative timeline where the 1983 video game crash never occurred. It's 20XX and you've just started a new job at the Funplex game arcade. Who will you meet along the way? Will you find the romance you're seeking?

It would be nice if all posts could be exported and imported into the new community.

!Bside@fedia.io Bside gaming has reached 172 subscribers. And I have made the fourth mega post .

!Bside@fedia.io an alternative gaming community is still growing slowly. There are now 141 subscribers. I keep posting regularly indie game news or links to games directly that seem to be interesting. Agent_Karyo helps a lot with posting on the community. Last Sunday I posted the third issue of the web zine, which is basically a mega-post with a collection of news, articles, top 10s, and more done in the style resembling an old gaming computer magazine.

No there is not really much of simulation in the game, you just casually put items on the map.

Yes I think it is just a concept, how a Linux distribution for the public sector could look like.

That would be nice, thanks.

!Bside@fedia.io My alternative gaming community has reached 96 subscribers, so close to 100. I wanted to explain a little a bit the reasons for making the community and what the difference is between other Indie gaming communities.

Before making this community, I searched for communities for "indie games" and found only one active on lemmy.ml, so I thought an indie gaming community that is not on .ml would be nice. My mistake was though that I did not search for "indie gaming," which made me misd the community on Lemmy.world, which I was pointed out to me later. But at that time I already had quite a few subscribers, and I had made many posts. So I did not want to close the community.

So I started trying to make it different from other Indie gaming communities. One thought I had even before finding out about indie gaming was to focus more on the smaller indie titles and Foss games. The Problem with that idea was I did not know where to draw the line; what should be considered a small indie game? In the end, I decided to drop the idea and allow all the indie games, but I personally would focus a bit more on titles that are somewhat smaller.

A difference that existed since the conception of the community was that I specifically allow NSFW content to be posted. Because I believe adult games are as much part of gaming as other games, and I think most apps and clients allow NSFW content blocking in case someone does not want to see it.

New recent changes I have made to differentiate it from other communities are that it is now allowed to post game mods and ROM hacks. Additionally, it allowed posting free or commercial links to game assets for others to use in their indie games that they are developing.

So in the end !Bside@fedia.io is an indie gaming++ community. So feel free to join if you think it is something for you.

I give up, personally I think he 100% right in what he is saying bureaucrats are the problem and should be removed not with loyalist but with compent people. seeing that people down vote me makes me sad and I fear people can't judge clearly anymore between valid government critism and what Trump is doing. But it is how it is. I will not continue this conversation. I hope this will not turn into a witch hunt but I am afraid now that it will.
