Buncha people think they know more about programming netcode than the developers.

I joke that when someone merge a pull request on github, Arch starts to build their package.

This is ideal if you have sufficient automated testing in place.

Doesn't asphyxiation feel like drowning? Doesn't sound pleasant to me. Though I guess it beats burning alive?

Yeah, that's the part I was referring to. It obviously requires a huge amount of prep to defend yourself in a criminal case even with lawyers. Most prosecuters aren't in the habit of pursuing cases they don't think they can win.

Trump’s attorneys like Alina Habba have amplified that bravado. Habba told Fox News’ Shannon Bream last month that the former president was so confident he would be vindicated that he’s not even preparing for his various trials. “If it was a normal person, honestly Shannon, I could understand the concern,” she said, adding that “You don’t have to prep much when you’ve done nothing wrong.”

Never heard a bigger lie about our justice system.

The Ubuntu kernel is downstream from the actual kernel.org version. Ubuntu just handles support of it for Ubuntu. Kernel.org are the original implementers.

We used to blame the Bethesda jank on their last engine, Game ryo. Safe to say that it's not the engine at this point.

You'd be surprised by the number of applicants that can't write a for-loop. There's a middle ground between no test and complex tree search algorithms.

Why are you assuming FAANG resumes can't do system design?

"Here's an icky piece of code, tell me what it does and what you would do to improve it" seems to have fallen out of style, though it's not clear to me why.

Because reviewing code is easier than writing it, unfortunately.
