In the worst-case scenario, yes... but the wording on the Windows dialog literally says, "There is a problem with your device and you should scan it" and then when you do, "Your device is ready to use, no problems were found." This, after it was ejected and got the safe removal notification. 🤷‍♂️

The "vulnerability" was only that F-Droid wasn't keeping up with their builds, leaving everyone who installed it from F-Droid out-of-date, during a period of known Firefox bugs being exploited.

The system software update 4.92 improves system performance, according to the patch notes, and also renews the Blu-ray player encryption key to allow for disc playback.

Usually they use the term "improves system stability" when they block exploits, but yeah...

That goes without saying... another user here says the drive can't be larger than 8GB but I'm fairly certain I tried that, too.

Edit: 4GB FAT32 worked. It may have a 4GB limit. On a brand new multifunction business printer/copier/scanner.

Why yes, I would in fact like to write a file bigger than 4GB in 2025. Com'on flash drive manufacturers, get your shit together and format in exFAT already -_- in c/memes@lemmy.world

There exists a modern EPROM replacement that internally uses flash and the chip itself has a USB port on it, but I can't remember the name.

My coworker was listening to Fox "news" radio... The teacher they were interviewing said that Palestinian people don't exist; they're Jordanian but Jordan (and every other Middle Eastern country) doesn't want them... Then he went on to say he's not racist because he had a lot of Palestinian students and they were wonderful people!
