I got into a fight in a bar, and some guy showed up, intervened, then hung out and kinda insisted I follow in my father's footsteps. I was like, meh, but I had nothing better to do, so I signed up.

How'd you get that pic of my cat?

I even have a futon cover that looks like that. It's brown, but if the photo was desaturated or tinted it could look the same.

Not for me either, just a photo.

*The current US Administration....

I am also the US, as is my spouse, my neighbors, and my goofy artist father, amongst many others.

E pluribus unem

I do not support the core of the current administration. There are however plenty of good folks in office too--nationally and more locally, depending on the area.

The world is not so black & white.

CEOs are scum, but they aren't the top of the food chain. They're usually 1 or 2 steps down. And it's really the corporations themselves we should be killing!

Take away their tools.

If you can't manage that, you can usurp there power by providing any of the same products or services as non-profits or non-profit co-ops.

Joining credit unions, food co-ops, housing or power/water co-ops, CSAs, are all good ways to hit corps where it hurts the most, without relying on the gov to revoke their charters.

For-profit co-ops and B-Corps are a half-measure, but also a step in the right direction.

Woah buddy, the USA is an evolving entity with many parts, some are cancer, yes, some are beautiful and healthy and loving and caring and charitable and ethical and strong.

The world is not black & white.

That said, I did upvote your comment : )

I have a Feb 5th update for the s25 that's info suggests it might be making this change too.

Suddenly, I don't really feel like updating.

I was already concerned any future updates would add more AI BS I don't need. So I probably wasn't going to update it anymore anyway.

So, who profits from this?

It'd actually be cool if I could verify age with one service and receive an anonymous auth token and create a pin or password, then just use those everywhere to verify age.

Or put it in my password manager and auto fill the BS on request.

All without sharing any private or identifying info with the service.

Currently I either just don't use web services that require age verification, or I use a VPN to bypass them.
