No 'reapeat offense' needed, once is enough. They were warned against such behavior when they were authorized to perform the duties of their office.

They should know better, and face consequences per instance, and summary dismissal without benefits after several offenses.

ACAB, and should face legal consequences for it until it's no longer true.

....

I heard police departments being shuttered and reformed as higher quality community services is far from unheard of.

Seems we need to put clear and functional systems in place to streamline to process of identifying and terminating corrupt agents within our society.

I mean, it's not like shuttering libraries or schools or firehouses due to corruption is even a thing. It their operators or employees are acting against social norms they are generally just terminated and replaced, no fuss.

Why is a cop allowed to commit crimes against their community but a librarian isn't?

2003, ganstas in suits?

Those aren't typical gentlemen postures or fittings for that period.

The lower looks like healthy yale grads in properly tailored suits.

Meh, I look great in anything, or in nothing at all.

Or so I'm told

Really looking forward to my SO upgrading away from their older lightening iPhone, and back to Android, maybe an e/os fairphone (they like the green one).

Yeah, don't say you don't know if you do, that's lying, which is a crime in this situation. You can answer crime related questions with questions (avoidance). But don't do that for everything. If they push, start asking if you're free to go. If they say no, invoke the 5th.

Don't do their jobs for them.

Don't answer any questions that could incriminate you. Or talk to them in general. But be polite when you do speak.

Only tell them your name or provide other required identity information. Don't say where you are going or coming from. Don't explain anything. Don't tell stories. Don't lie.

Faraday bags work... But test them.

I got a cheapo $7 Chromebook sized bag that seemed to work for my SOs iphone. We don't use NFC so I couldn't test that.

No BT, WiFi, or Cell, and probably no GPS.

I only did casual testing.

The screen still showed the signal having low bars for WiFi and cellular, but it didn't actually receive a signal at all when trying to call or use the net, not even with the top of the bag open a sliver and my hand in there.

If the device was off or in airplane mode and in the bag, I'd be comfortable assuming it was safely hidden from tracking.

I haven't thoroughly tested my various personal devices, but I expect identical results.

I think everyone should probably have a bag like this around, in a go-bag or something, just in case. And it's safer to have your phone available than not, as long as it's secure (use a pin or password to lock it, use encryption, put emergency info on it for first responders).

Death is not the only concern.

You don't just not beat your dog because it doesn't kill it.

These lights are too bright, they cause discomfort and stress out blinded drivers, and make driving at night impossibly for many who could otherwise drive safely before they were introduced.

For many night driving has become a rather traumatic experience, and that negatively effects them and other people as a result.

Imagine wearing a shocking dog bark collar and not knowing when it's gonna go off, but knowing it could, and you are also operating a 2 ton vehicle at 60mph on a busy and notoriously deadly stretch of road with your adorable 3 year old twins buckled in the back seat.

Just put the onus on car and bulb sellers going forward, then tack on a req for antiques that goes into effect in stages, probably paired with registration renewals. That way it's not an all-at-once burden, and most people can know about the transition well in advance. No surprises.

That doesn't funnel as much poor taxpayer money to the already rich elite. This is money laundering in muddy water.

It they treated us well and compensated us equal to our regular pay and ensured necessary care for our pets or kids were covered as needed, it'd just be a little vacation of sorts, and possibly an bit of an adventure.

But naw, it's more like slavery than unskilled min wage employment.

If I were retired or otherwise available and bored, I'd do jury duty no problem. I'd volunteer occasionally.

I have bills to pay, pets,...

Only?... We need a public petition.

And a national civil lawsuit vs our gov.

I demand compensation beyond merely my financial losses.

They can cut back on spending on military projects and deals with billion dollar companies and tax the rich.

The money is there.
