(If you insist on something more specific to their local conditions, you'll first need to help end the ongoing genocide to give the people in Palestine a chance to write up such a detailed transition plan. They're kind of busy right now and the Zionist Regime murdered most of their academics.)

I agree, leaving isn't the best way to protest this problem.

On the other hand, while staff themselves ought not to be blamed on the decisions of admin, we should also acknowledge that for them to do nothing is complicity. By-standing is not neutral behaviour. Some staff at multiple universities (and schools) have been involved in various forms of resistance, from direct physical support, to more passive resistance such as signing open letters and allowing students to make unauthorised announcements after lectures.

"Economics" isn't a useful answer.

At least six food co-ops in Sydney appear to have died since 2018, which I suspect is partly due to COVID.

It's pretty funny seeing the Wiki page for the Coalition listing six dissolution dates

This is what it looks like on Lemmy:

I didn't see that coming. Wow.

I don't know what this means as far as pragmatic effects like voting on legislation. Does that mean 9 Nationals go to the HoR crossbench?

Almost none of their 'culture' is original. I'm struggling to think of a single part that is, whether NSDAP or neo-nazis.

  • skinheads: nope (imitating of the punk movement, SHARPs are still beating up neo-Nazis)
  • fashwave: nope (shallow copy-paste of vaporwave-inspired techniques)
  • 'based'/Pepe/Wojak: nope (even on 4chan, none of these originated from the /pol/ board or political discussions)
  • NSBM: nope (BM)
  • roman/viking/etc. roleplay: nope (Nazi Germans copying Roman culture is kinda funny when you think about it)
  • Nazi ideology/neo-Nazi ideology: nope (both are a syncretic mess of other ideology's conclusions, as a result there's no consistent worldview capable of long-term success)
  • "National Socialism": nope (name borrowed from an Austrian party^[1]^, named to try and appeal to a wider audience by borrowing 'left-wing' and 'right-wing' symbolism. In fact, Hitler was in favour of a different name to try and distance from socialism)

I really can't think of anything.

That's a desperate stretch, they were actively celebrating the Trump assassination attempts.

Not sure if the comparison is apt: I think the lemmies in that second panel have a celebration party planned in the case a Trump assassination succeeds.
