Part of me thinks the rapid growth is over and that user retention is the new struggle; but part of me holds out hope that the reddit api finally dying will push over yet another wave of users

jerboa is kind of jank right now to the point where i had to stop using it

you could try out memmy or connect, i personally use https://wefwef.app which is very similar to the ios app apollo for reddit and i love it

key word there was most

i feel most of the people that actually made the jump to lemmy are the more mature and calmer crowd as compared to your average Redditor

Ikr! And if you "install" the PWA it works even better, i never expected a web app to be this good (but this says more about lazy web app developers)

And it's not like this is some small indie game anymore... If Mojang thinks it's right to back out with the best selling game of all time, why won't other devs back out of Reddit?

honestly i just switched from jerboa to wefwef.app

really slick UI, if you like apollo you'll love it, and it's a pwa so it works cross platform

You kid but they would...

They did clarify - you can't decompile them and compare the source to the official Spotify app and ensure there's no malware

Bluesky fixed the account portability on federated network problem, look at their docs - your post history and everything can come with you when you change instances

They're probably replying from mastodon and using the tags for discoverability

https://wefwef.app has an identical UI to apollo
