I have something like homegrown pihole (dnsmasq with block lists) , jellyfin, qbittorrent and nfs/smb share. Everytime when such a post appears there is this irrational desire to create cool monitoring and homepage and homeassistant. Never materialises into anything, after all there is always emacs that requires tinkering if needed. :3

Smells like bullshit, how would they know a number? These things always require video confirmation from recon after strike and I don't believe that iran has such ability at long range. (nobody really has unless the sky is yours).

I'm always at awe when people do this for their home like I've been managing infra for almost two decades and don't have even quarter of the things some people install and manage. It looks overwhelming to be honest.

I've worked in large companies that didn't use anything oracle, also worked in one that used oracle db and that's it, I think that oracle is pretty north america specific.

Cheap drones not being a technological innovation is true. They aren't new, use entirely civilian/hobbyist a bit modified hardware and software. Innovation lies in application and it changed current generation of warfare like artillery changed it during napoleonic wars, no? Like you almost can't wage an aggressive war and not suffering insane loses with old methods of armor+arty+infantry without overwhelming air superiority (with it you are still limited).

Can't read the article due to cloudflare blocking me, but it sounds implausible that barely populated planet can't sustain more than 2,5 billion people. Feels too much in line with techno-feudalist dreams.

If

They aren't never were, it would hurt they revenue. It's a power grab and has nothing to do with scams.
