Wait until you try the PC ecosystem and realize that it's where the games are the cheapest (thanks to bundles and Steam sales), where we don't even need to ask about retro compatibility because it's not siloed by generation...

Also by far the biggest library because recently console exclusive tend to be exclusive to one console but also ported on PC (except for Nintendo games).

The thing is there are a lot of devices that you can use to stream from you PS5 and also have other functionalities. Like playing games natively, or emulators.

The first dumb thing is distro hopping to start with.

Distro are not that different in practice, just pick one and go on with your life.

I mean the dude can claim the package contained a brick instead of the device...

But do Google imposes to use their IAP in the apps that are in the Play Store?

I know Apple does but I thought Google was letting the devs use their own payment processor if they want to.

Because he's wrong, most people use text in Europe. Even if it's addition to an app like WhatsApp.

In France we got unlimited texts at about the same time as unlimited data.

I don't think a plan with unlimited data and limited texts ever existed.

That's how corporations think. For them the law is just a set of weapons against their competitors.

I have some tech savvy friends who caved in a took a YouTube premium sub because they didn't know the fix to refresh ublock rules.

So I think YouTube's strategy is working, even if they are not completely blocking blockers they are still converting some blockers to paying users.

Yes, something as expensive as a Steam Deck you want to do a local in person transaction with cash. Nothing else.

They're half kidding but yes, it's a thing.

New Steam Deck has a "new electronics" smell coming out of the vents that is stronger than most devices.

Maybe after we see that new Snapdragon on Windows PC, and enough games run on ARM Windows, then Valve would consider switching chip.

I don't see why they would lead the way on that front, in addition to the software compatibility layer between Linux and Windows.
