Or simply getting the "rest" of the rent in cash

Singapore is just as big as NYC, and almost as dense. Cross border commuters from Malaysia do exist but are not the norm because it's a big pain.

Also what's true is Singapore might be true in NYC but NYC is not the norm in US, it's the exception.

If you believe the game to be malware you should not play it. Even if it doesn't have a kernel-level anticheat.

A binary on Windows can do pretty much whatever it wants.

Everything bad about LoL is it being a MOBA. I think you can't prevent toxicity in a MOBA.

In a team with randoms, if you start losing you're stuck in an unfun game where you get crushed by the ennemi for half an hour.

What's not to love?

We're not talking about the dumb parental controls from the 90's or 2000's and run on Windows, we're talking about smartphone OSes (iOS and Android) that are locked down to start with.

It doesn't matter if the kid is smart and determined, parental controls can't be circumvented.

Unless the parent is stupid enough to leave their phones unlocked or lax enough to unblock the phone every time the kid asks for it.

The same could be said of iPhone apps on iPad but Apple still forces you to make specific dev for the iPad.

You can get an ID card from the DMV even if you don't drive.

Singapour is also a country reduced to a city, so that certainly makes transportation easier. The US is on the opposite of the spectrum.

The soda can crushing to "crush the competition" is so cringe... I don't know maybe that talks to sales people.

I know it can happen, but that still makes a difference between public and private companies. That's one risk less.

Especially for Valve which is a very desirable company for their position as de facto PC games online store.

The difference is that a hostile takeover can't happen.

Unless the founder still owns a majority of the shares, you can take control of a public company without needing the consent of the board (and CEO, founder, etc)
