I think what will happen is no orders = no crops. They'll grow something else or nothing else. And that'll create a scarcity or perception of scarcity.

But maybe I'm wrong and some things will get cheaper, or at least not more expensive.

I think she was mostly raised by her mom, Marla Maples

Ianal, I really hope there is some sort of class action that can be done to force companies to pass that back to consumers.

It should be easy enough to pass through to all the electronic pay methods.

Or force markup items to all be put on massive sale until an equal amount has been sold to make up the sales at markup.

There are no perfect solutions, some people will still make out like bandits.

But jfc, just releasing billions to these companies will only benefit the C-Level and maybe some shareholders, the people already benefiting, not the ones feeling the pain.

Are you taking care of the simple things we tend to lock in and forget? Like drink some water and stand up to stretch (or just move around a little)?

Just to rule out the easier things...

I'm about to get on my computer to start work for the day and I'll start having weird things happen if I don't make myself unclench. Usually my back, neck, or legs get the weird pain.

How many of the 442 were protesters?

Okay... I read the article and went to the crime site for DC. Here's the screenshot from 2025 Sep 1st

Violent Crime = 50

All Property Crimes = 392

The number of times people have said to me, "how do you know that?"

All this in the meme, plus me asking people about themselves in social interactions so I don't have to talk as much.

Probably meant anorexia from not being able to eat. It's not really the same thing, but not eating is not eating.

Does the algae taste like spiralina? Because if it still tastes like an aquarium that needs cleaning smells, it will be incredibly difficult for some of us to eat without gagging.

And I'm not a particularly picky eater.

Was she actually qualified for the job? Since she was appointed a month ago, I assumed she was a Project 2025 hire

I've gotten Covid and Flu vax at the same time. I prefer it, I usually get a fever and my arm gets really sore. One time I tried one in each arm, and I had two sore arms for a couple days instead of one.

Exactly!!

A perfect southern American biscuit is fluffy, layered, tender, buttery. Much more like a croissant than the scones we get here. They are just as good smeared with sweet jam, jellies, and honey as the are paired with mashed potatoes, gravy, and sausages. Usually best served hot, fresh out of the oven. They almost melt in your mouth in a good way. (My grandma made amazing southern biscuits: white flour, cold butter or shortening or lard, baking powder, salt, mix with fingers til crumbly, pour in enough buttermilk to just mix a soft dough. Roll out, cut into rounds, place on baking pan, brush with melted butter, goes into a hot oven. When tops are golden brown pull out and enjoy. They should be double to 3 times the height of rolled out dough. Work fast because overworked dough gets tough and loses some rise)

Scones here are usually cold, dry, dense, and crumbly. I've had sweet and savory scones. They seem like they are made to soak up some sort of liquid or be washed down with coffee or tea. I think we what we get given as scones are either stale or a prank.

What I do? "Fuck it, we ball" - sure, tomorrow will 99.99% for sure suck. But it's not tomorrow. Maybe the alien invasion will happen overnight, or the world will shut down due to a pandemic, or maybe the bad thing will happen like you expect.

Fuck it though, it hasn't happened yet.

This is not a complaint, but a commentary on how I've been trying to get it to be more commonplace to talk about. Like the weather or a new hobby, lol

I've had a more social month. Was having lunch with my boomer uncle and he asked how menopause was going. He meant it in a very sincere way, and he shared some of what he remembered from when my aunt was going through it. He was glad the progesterone is helping my night terrors.

I was telling my husband about Naomi Watt's book, and he was getting angry on our behalf at some of the stories. He's planning to listen to the audiobook too. I'm likeing her book, it's kind of a cliff note version of all the books, along with a lot of personal stories from lot's of women.

My sons (step) and dad (before he passed) have been part of the conversation as well.

Which I'm realizing it sounds like I'm just around men, but I've talked to my sister-in-law and female friends and relatives too. I'm just around the men in my life quite often. My "found aunties" are also starting to check in about it too. They are 3 sisters in their 70s and 2 went through forced menopause because of breast cancer and are still hesitant about HRT after those studies. And they were brought up to not talk about it.
