First laptop I bought was an Asus. It just about lasted 4 years of uni. Second time I got a top of the range dell (at the time £1k). It started out great, I could use all the Adobe software. After 2years I had to replace the battery, keyboard, and fan, but it would often crash when using Adobe software. I gave up on it after 3 years. It still worked, but even after wiping it and reinstalling windows, it would crash when playing games or using Adobe software. I finally forked out £2.5k on a macbook pro 3 years ago (yes, before m1) and haven't looked back. While it is a little bit slower than when I first bought it, it can run all the Adobe software without crashing. The only downside is not many games run on mac, so I bought a steamdeck too.
