since a fucked US economy will hurt their bottomline eventually.

No it won't. Dollars are just a useful transfer tool for them. Their wealth is in assets. And when the US crashes, assets become cheap. So cheap they can buy the vast majority of them and rug pull everyone.

I'm really excited about na-ion, if commercial BMS circuitry was available I would already have some for a few home automation and sensing projects because of their low temp performance alone. But I'll have to spin up a custom implementation with an arduino or something and I don't have that kind of skills lol.

I'm not sure it's going to take that long - or if a Democrat will ever take power peacefully again.

Since he is hacking and burning so haphazardly and aggressively, the typical 2-5 year lead time to see economic effects don't apply anymore. Once the threads start unravelling on food supplies, it only takes months.

please censor fr*nch I almost pukedeted and shidded

Majority, but not 100%. My point is Wyoming is a pretty supplier for electricity to most of the western grid interconnection system and taking multiple GW out of the export market so suddenly is gonna hurt the entire interconnects stability.

Transparent translation, after the CBS kerfuffle: "time to pay up and adjust your news to our viewpoint, or we're gonna make your company go bye bye"

As I mentioned on the last post

Its going to ruin most states around it too, Wyoming is a massive net electricity exporter, due to cheap coal and wind resources. A majority of what they produce is transmitted to neighboring states, as far as Oregon and Washington.

It won't be just opt-in for very long.

So why employ the extremely expensive staff that do those steps for years when they have nothing to do and you just burn money for now output?

Because in an industry as specialized as semiconductors, most of those "expensive staff" are people with 12 to 25 years of industry experience and company specific institutional knowledge.

Once they're gone, it's impossible to replace that knowledge. New hires will never know the same details and tricks, and the old staff are unlikely to come back after being screwed (except for insanely high compensation.) In specialized industries you have to retain the knowledge base through thin times to have any hope of being successful in thick times.

Its a shortsighted move by bean counters looking to make it to the next quarter so they can merge or sell off, and nothing more.

Don't forget nonexistent environmental laws that allow for chemical plants to operate with "better margins"

Major components of the surveillance network include the use of automated license plate reader (ALPR) technology, and monitoring of social media through “sock puppet” accounts. Meanwhile, Jackson County is using a third-party lease to make its publicly owned building available to ICE for its Southern Oregon field office, creating another “backdoor” for local government resources to be utilized by ICE despite Oregon’s status as a “sanctuary state.”

Our latest trove of public records total 313 pages. Below is an overview of the records, which were obtained through public records requests to the city of Medford, the city of Grants Pass, and Jackson County. We provide a downloadable copy of the records at the bottom of this blog post.

Sad that this had to die to bring us the Ford Explorer.
