I remember reading articles about the people ending up with bad pneumonia from those black market weed vapes because they were vaping actual oil, which coating your lungs is deadly. I don't think anyone actually got popcorn lung, which was from the diacetyl in the custard flavored vapes. The history of that was from using that chemical in the fake butter popcorn factories, hence popcorn lung. It was a buzzword they loved throwing around to try and get people off the deadly vapes. Those days are behind me now, they helped me and countless friends off the real smokes.

There has always been horrible reporting by the media when it comes to the vape industry. I'm interpreting that caption written like that to subconsciously influence perception of anything 'pod' to be bad. Years ago when I still vaped, I can't remember how many people would tell me about how I was messing up my lungs and going to get popcorn lung when all media was reporting about those illegal weed vapes filled with vitamin e oil. I blame big tobacco for all these hit pieces..
Now talking about these cheap disposable vapes, I for one think they should be banned as they are all super wasteful with all that plastic and lithium batteries while who knows what is in them.
I remember them raiding the smaller farms back in the 80s. The owners struggle to continue to make any type of profit and sell out to the bigger corps. Then in a few years they are back to employing these so call immigrants. I believe this is all just class warfare.
We usually order 50 day old chicks every year to raise on our small farm. They come via USPS and they usually take a day to travel 120 miles to our local post office where we get a call when they arrive. They look happy and healthy when we pick them up and never lost any due to the travel.
This year we lost 9 out of 40 ordered in just one day. They seemed tired and not their normal chipper self. We took care of them and didn't lose any past those first 24 hours of arrival. Checked the tracking details and they traveled up and down the state for 2 days before we got the call. Not sure what changed at the post office but glad to see attention placed on it via an article like this.
Well I admit not going on as many dates as my peers did. Also had a crazy friend convince me to not pay my taxes for a few years. BUT I'm currently married with kids and paid all my (back and current) taxes, probably more than these idiots have in this administration.
I'm sorry RFK, but please don't talk about autism anymore, not sure what makes us autistic but that brain worm definitely decreased your grey matter and filled it with shit lies.
Hold the home button down and that usually wakes up my switch with both my pro controllers
What this government is showing me is that there already a third party and they're in control. They gave us the two party system so we can point fingers at each other and get tired trying to bring about change.
There is only one rule to follow these days and that's FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Gen 'Xer here too. Most, if not all of my social circle are voting for Trump too. I am mirroring you in saying that I also shared the same life experience as them. What I'm noticing with all social media which is a major part of all our lives is that its a giant echo camber for both sides. Here on lemmy and reddit (yes I know, but I still check in there) we are all leaning left and denouncing him. Meanwhile on the Meta and Twitter I see everyone clamoring about him bring their savior and how evil and wretched Harris and the libs are. Both sides are surprised how close this race is. I see the media profiting on all this chaos and nonsense. We need to fight to get the media out of the control of all these oligarchs, be-it US or foreign interference centers. I think and hope that more and more people are realizing this and this is going to be the start of class warfare. Sad thing is they got all us have-nots battling each other instead of them. So hard to talk with the cultists and veer them away from the Kool aid going around. It's sad and it's going to get dark one way or another.
Anyway preach on and don't give up.
No I'm subscribed to Tom Scott and Project Farm in fact! Unfortunately I feel useful stuff like that is in the minority on YouTube. Try looking at the top videos on a guest account. That's all the crap I'm referring to. A lot of mindless drivel
No I would like to disagree, they went to college for the opportunity to gain more knowledge. Some of them partied, some of them are idiots but in the end college itself doesn't give you experience needed to guarantee it being worthwhile like it used to be 20 years ago. I say this as a guy who got a BS in electrical engineering and no one wanted to hire me out of school since I had no experience except for the college experience of in itself.
Looking at my friends kids who have completed college in the last ten years, I can safely say that 70% of them are worst off than if they didn't go. How did I come to that conclusion? Well they are so riddled with debt it's going to take them at least 10 years, if not more to dig themselves out of that due to the college experience. Are they more educated? I would say yes but their outlook on life is so grim compared to the other kids who didn't go to college and jumped directly working into trades. Those kids I see are happier and doing better in life. Again, this is just from my experiences. True it all depends on the degrees and the person itself but still doesn't change my opinion on thinking college is overrated now.
Only for the office to call you and reschedule the follow up appointment
