tbf it might be about how much more of a disaster the 20th century would have been without the Soviets.

Edit: Rough summary (I watched at 2x speed and didn’t focus too much on the specifics): Trotsky takes power from Kerensky by electoralism, the Whites win the civil war ousting Trotsky then invade Atatürk’s Turkey for some reason, Russia descends into a fascist state under Kolchak and Germany turns left instead.

So literally just Russia and Germany swapping roles in WW2.

“Kolchak turns into a dictator. A wave of antisemitism engulfs the country and thousands of Jewish families are exiled, or worse.”

He also says

“What would a Ukraine that never experienced Stalin’s Holodomor look like?”

despite earlier mentioning famines during Kolchak’s reign. He did mention the White Terror though and said it was much worse than the Red Terror.

The thing is that you don’t really have to scrub them. Most of the time it’s like wipe wipe rinse which isn’t slower.

So you aren’t actually cleaning your plates? Yeah no thanks.

Sauce dirties plates much more than grease in my experience.

This article seems so close to getting it, then decides that it doesn’t matter actually and they’ll definitely be able to convince anyone who has uttered the term “Genocide Joe” to vote for him anyway.

But this rarely works because 1) in their mind, nothing could be more evil or harmful than genocide

How can someone possibly write this and not second guess themself? Yes, genocide is indeed pretty much the most evil thing.

Unnecessary compounding of words making them harder to read. It’s basically “Highereducationstatisticsact”.

If your food doesn’t have any sort of sauce like that I feel sorry for you. Tomato sauce is vegan, teriyaki, hoisin, barbecue, most non-cheese sauces are vegan or can easily be tweaked to be vegan, including many sauces normally associated with meat dishes. You can even make vegan gravy with mushrooms and vegetable stock.

but plates and cutlery, by the time you rinse them and stack them they’d be done

I’m not sure what you mean here. Hand washing is faster than a dishwasher? Probably but the point is saving labor not overall time. Loading and unloading a dishwasher is much less labor than scrubbing plates. And scrubbing plates definitely isn’t easier than picking them up and putting them down somewhere else.

It’s possible if RFK saps enough votes in non-swing states without actually changing the result of those states. Even more if red states have extra turnout for Trump and blue states have less turnout for Biden.

As an extreme example, if RFK won over every Biden voter in Texas, that’s 5 million less votes for Biden without changing the result.

Dem leadership: “We will vote to table Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Motion to Vacate the Chair. If she invokes the motion, it will not succeed.”

Democrats 6 months ago: “Mike Johnson is a dangerous right wing Christian fundamentalist!”

Democrats now: “We need to protect Mike Johnson!”

The other thing it helped me understand is that dishwashers really don't save you any labor in the end

Those mini dishwashers maybe, but regular dishwashers absolutely do. They take 5 minutes to fill and 5 minutes to unload. Compare that to washing dozens of dishes by hand.
