I wasn't making an inflation argument. But if any game was worth $80 that would be that. I can't think of another candidate that's due out soon, possibly another Sims game but the zero chance of EA are going to do anything with that franchise for a while.

CDPR has a very ambitious project coming up, but I'm not touching that with an electrified cattle prod until after the reviews come out.

Maybe a CoD game depending on who is actually developing it and assuming it had a campaign.

Well it's cruise control, plus lane control, plus emergency braking. But it wasn't switched on so whether or not Tesla are been entirely honest with their advertising (for the record they are not been honest) isn't relevant in this case.

I'm actually surprised octopus haven't evolved more than they already have. I suppose they would have to evolve skeletons to be able to survive on land so that's probably what's holding them back.

I agree with you but there are cheaper cities. Practically everywhere is cheaper.

It's ironic that of all people Trump is the one telling us that words are important. A man whose vocabulary is so fundamentally limited that his best insult is "a very nasty man"

And of course it gives you a good second use for the opera binoculars

One of the things I remember when I visited Florida as a kid from the UK was how weird their grass was. It's all spiky.

And kept trying to point this out but for some bizarre reason my parents weren't interested.

I said pretty much this when they announced the price. I could see some games maybe being able to make the $70 or $80 argument, maybe. But definitely not this game.

If you're going to push the limit of game pricing you have to pick a very good game to start with, then all of the mediocre ones can be brought up slowly over time. You can't just increase the price of every game wholesale and expect people to be okay with it.

If anybody was going to be okay with paying $80 for a game it would be GTA VI, I suspect that most of the studios were caught out, as they assumed it would cost $80 and would be released this year. When the announcement came that it wasn't going to be released until next year their projected pricing suddenly didn't make sense, but they went ahead with it anyway, and got rightfully yelled at.

I don't know. If it is possible to override the autopilot then it's a pretty good bet that putting your foot on the accelerator would do it. It's hard to really imagine this scenario where that wouldn't result in the car going into manual mode. Surely would be more dangerous if you couldn't override the autopilot.

Apple are launching a folding phone next year in the same way that Fusion is a decade away.

They've been saying that since the launch of folding phones and the crease thing is just an excuse. No one who actually has ever experienced a folding phone cares about the crease. But if it was actually a solvable problem, I'm pretty sure engineers at Samsung are smart enough to be able to work it out, I don't think we have to leave it up to the Apple geniuses.

Yeah I'm American.

Because what I said definitely sounds like something that happens in American politics.

Have they tried doing anything then?

I've seen more dynamic corpses than a Ed Davey

When you reveal a spoiler the black rectangles go away and it then renders the text in white, but on a white background (light coloured theme) The text renders is exactly the same colour as the background and so you can not see it unless you highlight the post, this renders the background of the post as light grey and there is just about enough contrast difference to now read the text.

When spoiler text is revealed it should render in the same colour as normal text. I'm not sure why it's white.

See images below for demonstration.

spoiler text is hidden

spoiler text has been revealed but is invisible

text post is highlighted and now you can see the spoiler text rendered in white
