It's a carrier thing, you can disable 5g on Samsung phones aswell but for some reason they let the carrier force it
I can edit the map, and I do often, but I haven't gotten around to updating the shops yet.
Bike route directions are way better than gmaps, in my area the main thing is the shops shown not being up to date
I didn't know omaps used system tts, you can try https://github.com/RHVoice/RHVoice I've not used it with omaps but it is good for what I have used it for. It is on F-droid and google play
