So our masters keep saying.

But actual Chinese people don't seem too worried.

The Chinese government gets approval ratings (according to Western pollsters) that western governments can only dream of, and it's not that mysterious when you consider, the standard of living for most if not all regular people there has been skyrocketing.

Remember that China is the greatest threat to American hegemony and all the powerful people aligned with it. Do you really expect corporate-owned media to give you accurate, unbiased information on such an adversary?

It was really good vandalism.

Sure they say these particular crafts weren't involved in the genocide, I don't give a damn. The UK is supporting the genocide, so their stuff is all legitimate targets.

By that logic, the wisest thing to do is stay home and write strongly worded letters...which will accomplish absolutely nothing.

If you want to affect any sort of real change, it's often the case that things get worse before they get better; some sacrifices have to be made.

Oh look, the rich found another way to fleece the general public.

Tellingly, Poilievre blamed that loss in Carleton on being too honest

“To the best of our knowledge, it is the largest data center — we think of it as a campus — in the world,” OpenAI’s chief global affairs officer Chris Lehane told The Associated Press last week. “It generates, roughly and depending how you count, about a gigawatt of energy.”

Why is this guy saying a datacenter generates energy? It does literally the exact opposite. I guess you don't need to actually know anything to get a leadership role at openai, as long as you can say lots of words.

This is the subheading on the article (emphasis added):

Some worry that New York City’s crackdown on unsafe cyclists leaves them facing greater consequences than drivers, even though cars cause more fatalities.

So why let drivers off the hook? You seem to care about safety, but then support enforcement that disproportionately affects those who are doing less harm? There's no logic, it's just vibes.

Culturally, we accept drivers causing a significant amount of death and destruction, but get so mad about anyone else. It's not rational.

The ruling class has spent the last century or so systematically dismantling the American left. Unfortunately the Democrats are a right wing party and have no interest in this kind of disruption - they're just as owned by billionaires as the Republicans are, it's just a more polite faction of capitalists.
