Yes urban combat definitely has its own challenges. But knowing the country you're invading inside out is half the battle.

Israel fought many of its neighbours many times over, in enemies' territories some more. Their soldiers are well-trained and well-equipped for low-intensity urban conflicts.

Also they have complete air superiority, they don't have to comb room-by-room when they could just launch a precision air-strike. collateral damage is another issue to consider..

burnout units in days of intense combat.

True, but israeli men and women have compulsory military service, they could call up many reservists. that + Uncle Sam readily supply munitions

Could be a quick battle. They’ve spent decades preparing for this battle. Now it gave the Israeli government a reason to finish the job.

They already have advanced specialist spies working in Gaza which is how they could locate 250 hostages.

Once most hostages are recovered it’s game over for HAMAS.

came back from the mall yesterday, some dude driving a clapped BMW E90 3er was messing with me on purpose i swear. he was in the middle lane then suddenly came into my lane (right) and braked to 5X kmh from 80, i then cut him off.

We then arrived at an intersection and we both turned right - i turned into the first lane he went into third but drove really slowly. didn't think too much of it but suddenly i noticed that he teleported beside me already then popped his signal trying to go into my lane even though i'm literally right beside him. the entire road ahead of us was clear for more than 1.5 km! no idea what fella was thinking.

Whilst not all BMWs are assholes, but most assholes i've met are BMWs. and it's always the clapped or some crossover type.

why the hell are there so many muslim NPCs commenting "Happy October" on Instagram and Facebook.

is it a reference to the Yom Kippur war aka October War whereby Arab nations got clapped? Or they are actually celebrating what's happening rn? tf?

Also, the government tax regular cars so much over so many decades and removed practically all competitions to protect those AP cronies anyway. what is a bit of subsidies going to hurt the governments coffers in the grand scheme of things..

The subsidies is possibly also a challenge to the status quo (AP cronies), effectively rendering the importation of EVs financially non-viable for consumers and reduce AP cronies' influence on the automotive market. We have seen how Anwar was willing to waive Tesla's tax, effectively killing Teslas brought in through the AP system.

Essentially the subsidies would improve competition within the sector which is better for consumers in the long run. She used vague terms like "solid plan" and "hot water" but did not consider that it is very much a political and social issue and is something far greater than an urban-dweller's first world problem such as traffic jam.

Also EVs are fucking expensive to run due to really backwards tax as they are taxed based on output i've heard. so you could be driving an NPC EV and pay a ton more in road tax than someone driving an AMG. so the impact on governments budget wrt subsidies is a lot less than some might think

If we encourage more people to buy EVs, it could actually make traffic worse. To tackle our traffic jam problem & reduce pollution, we should be concentrating on creating a top-notch public transportation system that everyone can rely on.

  • Abe Lim on EV

the subsidies are supposed to sway buyers to switch from ICEs to EVs. in other words, it's not going to put extra wheels on the road and further cause traffic jam issue. Car sales in Malaysia is extremely low on a per capita basis compared to say Australia, Japan and Taiwan actually. Traffic jam issue has a lot to do with town planning + poor driving etiquette + lack of enforcement.

If the gov pumps up the EV industry with subsidies, it might not be a solid plan. Ideally, new ideas should stand on their own two feet in the marketplace. When things rely solely on government support, we can get into hot water. The demand might not last when the support dries up, causing job losses and economic troubles.

let's just say if i'm an a economics lecturer i would put this question in my exam and ask my students to justify this statement on subsidies with economic principles they have learnt over the past semester.

Zelensky on Hamas's terrorism:

“Thousands of missiles. Shooting people in cars. No one was spared. The terrorists themselves gave the world footage of their atrocities, and were proud of that. They even tried to humiliate the dead. We saw all of this in Israel.”

“Do not rape women. Do not kill. Do not consider children as trophies. Do not fill villages and towns with blood. Do not shoot civilians in cars” – could be agreed upon by the international community.

And to see people still cheering for Hamas is crazy....

too much of them won't cause sore throat either, medically speaking. it's usually either bacterial or viral infection.

probably spending the weekend working on other projects. not realistic to expect every road to be fixed on the weekend.

i mean, the roads aren't going to maintain themselves right? small contractors can't really do midnight work, requires a lot more manpower and resources.

they can put a slab of concrete on, super low maintenance but there's gonna be another rant about road noise and terrible ride comfort i bet.. @.@
