2014 season when Rodgers came into soldier field and beat the Bears 17-38 lol… that was a messy season to get into football when I was younger considering Trestman is considered as one of the worst coaches the bears have had

I know we are all out on Eberflus, but he's currently coordinating the best rush defense in the league through 10 weeks in c/bears@nfl.community

Eberflus is a good defensive coordinator like he displayed in Indianapolis but he isn’t a good head coach. Josh McDaniels always seemed like a decent OC in NE whether it be bc of Brady or not, but he was a terrible HC. Same thing with a guy like Matt Patricia, there were some very good patriot defenses under him but he was a terrible coach for the Lions.

The takeaway here is that just because someone is a great coordinator doesn’t mean they can steer the ship properly. That being said, the Bears should go for a somewhat experienced offensive minded coach who has had play calling experience before, not like Nagy and Getsy who were basically new to play calling when they arrived in Chicago

I'm fairly confident this fanbase would rather see a revolving door of GMs, Coaches, and QBs than see success. in c/bears@nfl.community

I want the team to win. I’ll do whatever it takes to win, but do I think that Eberflus is the guy that’ll happen with? Likely not. I feel like firing him is the best move because it’s looking like Justin Fields may not be here in Chicago next season especially if Carolina gifts us the first overall pick. Unless Fields goes out there and balls out for the last 7 games assuming he comes back, they aren’t gonna keep him. I really want him to be the guy too, in an ideal world we keep Fields and just keep on building bc around him instead of starting over.

But, I don’t want Eberflus/Poles to draft a QB, then get fired and then it becomes a thing of “well this new HC and GM didn’t draft this QB!” Because that’s already happened twice, with Nagy it was the literal reason why they let him stay because “he didn’t want Mitch” and people actually thought that with a better QB Nagy would be amazing (laughable lol), I mean look at the dude in KC rn, that offense isn’t good even with Mahomes.

Overall, I just want to see if we can retain Fields, if so good for the future but if not, fire Eberflus and bring in an offensive mind to develop that QB.
