Well on monday it started off with another channel pointing out that their data is systemically crap, overworked crunching empolyees, and they robbed some indie startup company, and now it's all about how they have an incredibly toxic work enviroment and sexual assault alligations.

He's fine. If he gets into an accident he'll just get back up in a little bit.

Yeah, again, I don't do much terminal text editing. I have an IDE. If I'm trying to help someone across the country 1000 miles away fix something on the machine I develop for, I'm going to give them instructions on something that will be incredibly easy to use. I don't want to have to explain why the arrow keys aren't working and why they have to use jkl; to navigate or explain how enter edit mode or how so save and exit. Keep it simple stupid.

I don't do a lot of text editing in terminal, but I used to have to at my last job and I always reached for nano and gave instructions fot nano since it's just pick up and use.

A lot of the comment's I've seen everywhere over this news is "exiting vim" out of respect and admiration. They aren't being disrespectful but honoring the legacy that he fostered, and remembering the hard parts of his software.

Yeah, they talk about some FUCKED UP stuff on there. I'm glad Robert, Sophie, and guest(s) can joke a bit about things between some of the atrocities.

Yeah, gotta ask, what's with all the dutch memes today? Not complaining, just asking if its the new beans thing right now.

Seriously. Another comment pointed out there's "not enough money" and "enough money" for wages. Depending on which side you're on money may not be the reason someone quits. My previous job paid me enough, but the business partner was so dangerously incompetent, reckless, agressive, and unwilling to do their own job that I quit out of frustration. I made it very clear to my boss' boss that it wasn't about money, and I wasn't going to tell them what my new compensation was. It isn't his business. My issue was the business partner. Within a few months a few other people quit working there too for the same reason.

People could do a chargeback. Incidentally charge backs also incure a fine on the company.

You have reminded me of an old old memory. I don't know where I was at the time and I was a little kid, but there was this VR headset thing with a stick. The stick was the controller for a lightsaber and the game I remember had like pterodactyls flying in it and then some ogre or something attacking you.
