This morning drag made a post to the Dull Men's Club on lemmy.world. Drag isn't a man, but that doesn't seem to actually be a requirement. Drag talked about making sushi that wasn't too sour for drag's partner with avocado. Drag doesn't see how that could possibly be offensive to anyone.

A few people replied on topic, but most of the thread is an argument about drag's pronouns. Drag refused to engage, because... it's the Dull Men's Club! The rules say no politics because politics is too interesting. Drag was asked if drag was trolling. How are the pronouns drag uses for dragself on a boring post about sushi acidity supposed to offend anyone?

The mod did step in and remove two of the comments discussing pronouns. But most of the thread is still a debate about drag's pronouns and Blahaj's rules about misgendering for some reason. And drag was told not to report so many comments for not being dull.

Why can't drag have one boring, normal conversation without people asking about drag's pronouns, attacking Ada, calling drag a troll, hell, even trying to diagnose drag with OCD!

Drag does do a lot of dramaposting, but if this is the result of an inoffensive post about rice vinegar, what's the point trying to avoid drama at all? It doesn't work. It feels awful to be avoiding conflict and doing nothing while being treated like a punching bag just for existing.

Hello, drag is seeking feedback on this meme from a more... politically aware community, before posting it anywhere big.

Is the narrative here clear? The fact that Gru is a transphobic Lemmy user and mistakenly thinks drag is their ally? Is the moral at the end, that drag's existence outs transphobes and makes Lemmy safer from transphobia, obvious?

Drag got he/him-ed earlier today and just now, suddenly had this realisation that calling drag a troll and misgendering drag is exactly what a conservative troll would do. They WANT all the cisgender liberals to think unconventional identities are all fake. If a troll pretends to be trans and gets outed, that's the conservative win condition! Look at the helicopter pasta, they didn't try to hide that. They made it obvious satire.

If everyone accepts drag and comes to accept neopronouns and xenogenders, the conservatives lose. But if everyone thinks drag is a troll, they win. If there are closeted conservatives on Lemmy, they think drag is an ally and want to "help" drag by "outing the troll". They think we're doing kayfabe and are just pretending to fight. They think misgendering drag, and being applauded by the liberals for it, is a nice thing to do, to help drag spread transphobia.

Of course, this plan doesn't work if the community stands up to misgendering and the mods ban the people responsible. Which is what drag always says the mods should do when drag gets he/him-ed. Drag is "betraying" all those trolls who think we're on the same side.

So, is this massive conspiratorial revelation clear in the meme? Drag is too close to the issue to be objective about the meme's clarity or quality.

Can't take being misgendered and harassed. He/himed. People starting arguments over their own intolerance and blaming the arguments on drag. In so much pain. Hopes this post won't lead to more pain. What do you do when nobody will believe you're hurt, and every time you scream out in pain, you're accused of having an agenda? What kind of agenda is just not wanting to be harassed anymore? They think they're winning when they fill a thread with drama and then complain about all the drama. They think they're doing something right? How do you tell people you're honestly suffering and have them believe you?

They tell you to block them while they misgender you and tell the whole world you're the devil. "Just ignore everything I'm doing to hurt you and you'll be okay". It doesn't make any sense but they think it's right. They could choose to disengage this very minute but they don't. They think harassment and misgendering is a crusade of justice. That hurting people is a moral good, but oh no, don't you dare claim you're hurt when I hurt you.
