War bad (Unironically)

They weren't even in trouble here! It's just the NYT spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt about one of the only openly trans US officials.

Not that it even matters, since SCOTUS gets the final say in all administrative matters now.

I wish they'd just be honest about the triangulation. "due to the political climate, we will not be following the best practices as recommended by the relevant experts"

I fear this is the start of the Democrats becoming like UK's labour. I won't be surprised if Levine is forced out of her position before the election, based on how the New York Terfs are centering her in this story. Until now, the NYT has mostly just focused on parents "concerns". But now they're setting their sights on the institutions that trans people rely on. Like the UK media did with Tavistock

Perfect metaphor for the US space program as a whole

The right: I know better than doctors, and need to make medical decisions for the unwashed masses

Moderates: I know better than doctors, and need to make medical decisions for the unwashed masses

Leftists on Lemmy: bro wtf

Basically, some trans people want to have bottom surgery before going to college. And wrt top surgery, some trans masc teens want access to the same medical options as cis male teens.

The article also mentions lowering the age hormones are prescribed. That prevents problems with bone density that come with being on puberty blockers too long. It also prevents people needing top surgery.

But the New York Terfs don't like that.

You are really terrible. I don't like telling personal details online, but I thought maybe it would help you see that you're being insensitive. Instead, you just imply that I'm crazy and transphobic.

I'm a trans person that has struggled with suicidal thoughts/depression for a long time. I also oppose genocide, although I don't like telling people how to vote.

Your 'joke' has a pretty clear message to people like me, and I don't like it. But I see it very often. I don't really mind when it's from some alt right bro on reddit, but it hurts a little more coming from a queer space.

You should find other ways of making your point, or else you're just doing a more wordy 48% meme.

You're the one making transphobic jokes about suicide in that thread

The podcast twenty thousand hertz has a good episode on what dinos might've sounded like.

Meanwhile, OP is making some pretty gross transphobic jokes about suicide on .world

It's disgusting. You're telling people that if they're opposing a genocide, they might as well kill themselves.
