Reddit activated a word filter that whenever you say "fuck spez", your comment won't show up for anyone else. I just tested it on ModCoord. they're also deleting spez memes from the subs they nuked lo in c/RedditMigration@kbin.social

I don't like that they don't include the scientific name. Common names can be all over the place but the scientific name is absolute.

For my Ohio friends, OPN seed is a pretty good resource.

The range for livable temperatures follows a more reasonable scale. Hot is really high numbers. Cold is low. The exact temperature is more precise because the range is larger.
Celsius is fine for scientists but for the regular person Fahrenheit has a better range.
Also I'm biased.

I'm subbing to anything that seems remotely interesting but I'll probably end up pruning the list eventually. The same thing happened when I joined reddit back in 2010. I was so excited to read about everything and then realized I didn't actually care that much about the individual topics.

I'm at 60 which already feels like too much
