Pretty interesting article, thanks for sharing

I was sitting on a picnic table at my kids soccer fields and a little jumping spider was crawling around on the table. It actually came over to me so I put my finger out and it didn't shy away but like touched me and then just hung out around.

I actually wanted to take it home.

And ya I'm over 50yo haha, so I left it alone as the adult thing to do.

Not "a" Tesla,

I'm saying I'm driving around in one of two paid off vehicles (wife's or mine) the newest is 2011.

Whenever we go anywhere, generally most other cars are newer/nicer.

I see a ton of Teslas. I see a ton of Denali's I see a ton of Mercedes SUVs

Just saw a Lucid Air driving today.

So if everyone is doing so terrible, who owns all these cars?

I'm NOT saying Americans are not doing terrible... But externally people seem to be able to buy new vehicles,. Houses are easier to be bias since those are where you are physically, but there's no shortage of big new houses being built. I'm just always amazed at the difference in what I HEAR and what I SEE. Around me. I live in a semi rural area in Indiana.

I am nearing ( < 10 years) a planned retirement and because of the articles I read/click on I end up seeing lots of stories like this.

I see both extremes, "I'm 55 and have 4 million in my 401k, can I retire?" as well as medium 401k by age showing like 55yo with 80k in retirement savings.

I get more stories talking about or showing how bad average Americans are doing from a savings/living perspective. Yet, I see new cars and big ass houses everywhere. Big ass GMC and Cadillac Denali SUVs, Tesla's, all manor if expensive vehicles and fancy new houses. Everyone has the latest iPhone, etc..

I guess debt is a helluva thing.

I actually have grayjay on my phone (and paid for it). I don't mind paying for stuff I use.

I've also used revances, and smarttube tv. But as I said right now the value is still "ok" but reaching it's limit for sure.

Welcome to the club, I was on the $14.99 Family Premium from YT Red/GPM. I left in a fit to Spotify, but crawled back since I just do not get along with Spotify. It was quite an increase to $22.99, but I literally watch YT as my main source of entertainment, and listen to YT music via Android Auto in my car, as well as through the house all the time. So I am getting a lot of use out of it. but I am not sure I could stomach another increase anytime soon.

I've just been soldering the same 4 wires onto the S31s I'm putting into my HA setup. A jig would be nice but it's pretty easy to quickly solder for thin wires!

We've had two of these over the years... One company failed and had to switch. For ease of use / reliability I didn't try to build a DIY solution.

We are currently using Nixplay frames. We have one and both our parents were gifted one.

There's an email address you can email pictures to for them to show up on everyone's frames.

They have quite a few settings, Auto on during certain hours, groups etc...

They've been very solid for a number of years now.

Downside is they're pretty expensive. Amazon sells them, and they do go on sale occasionally.

We've been using Nixplay since 2014.

P.S "Frame Album" was the first one, and after they failed the hack was called framechannel. There was some dns trickery you had to do to connect to a fake "mother ship" . Cannot remember what happened with that, but we switched to Nixplay devices .
