So the irony in this story is that, not exaggerating, I have 100,000+ mi of two-wheel riding under my belt and I do ride with a Gore-Tex jacket and have the matching pants with me on the motorcycle but only wear the pants if the threat of rain gets near, or I'm out riding aggressively since the pants do have additional protection, but are hot!

This was a unfortunate, set of circumstances that caused me to get wetter than I ever have. Shortly before the rain, I got stuck in traffic and was unable to make it to an overpass before a huge downpour.

I am currently commuting 3 days a week about 62 miles a day on my ST-1300. Infact, she just crossed 50k miles a couple weeks ago.

Mine got a shower Tuesday on my way to work even though I checked forecast and radar. We both got quite wet!

Smells like another test that'll end in a year or so leaving the Tablet to rot.

I still have one actively used Nexus 7 in my house. Used as a weather station display on our countertop.

Probably wouldn't buy another Google tablet until it was well established a generation or two in. Certainly know better than to early adopt anything they put out.

Sounds like this would at the very least remove $20-30m in revenue (according to the article) not counting if the copyright holders decide to go after them.

I think it puts them in a precarious situation overall.

I'm lucky enough to not have to drive my fun car in inclimate weather which for sure includes winter.

My truck has all seasons but is 4wd so it's ok. We do not live where the roads get/stayed covered in snow so there's not a huge need for seasonal tires unless your using high performance tires that suck below 50°f

But 100% if you live where snow/ice is on the road for a large portion of winter, winter ties make a difference.

Probably too late for now but if you ever have a big spray foam job in the future :)

Best thing I found for spray foam is the reusable sprayer that you screw larger cans on.

It's soooo much better. I was sealing up everything I could in the basement before drywall went up.

We had a radon mitigation system installed after discovering ours was quite high. The guy that came had one of these guns to seal up all the cracks in the floor

Great stuff Pro 14. It's $60 bux but is a game changer. You can store the connected can on it for 30 days it says. They have a spray can of cleaner to clean it after your done.

Disabling autocorrect showcased how bad I am at phone typing. But I have to be very mindful of what is actually corrected and corrected to. Especially in sms where there's no easy edit

It was totally to give you content to share today on Lemmy /s

I have wondered for a while if both the predictive and spelling 'help' these keyboard provide are getting broken because they're integrating "what most people do" to your phone.

autocorrect is like downright scary now. you have to double, triple check what you typed is what WAS typed.

Well humans are making them. Vine and other early adopter places (Lemmy) are nice until the "masses" find it.

It's awful, but people eat it up. Add in profit margins and companies jump on smelling that sweet sweet profit.

Tik Tok is blocked in my house but unfortunately reels/yt shorts have no easy way to block without affecting the rest of the service.

I no longer have to daily drive mine so as I said I hope it lasts a LONG time!

Makes me glad my, going on 17 year old Toyota will likely run forever and is as dumb as a box of rocks regarding this stuff.
